    Slip, Trip & Fall

You can recover money from a property owner if a dangerous condition causes you injury. Most commonly these injuries are caused by a slip, trip and fall. Falling ceiling fans or light fixtures, heavy cabinets tipping over, tables collapsing and many other dangerous conditions can cause injury.

If you or a loved one has been hurt in a slip and fall accident you need to take immediate action. Of course take care of your medical needs but it is also very important to a future financial recovery to gather what evidence you can. Get pictures of the cause of your accident. If you tripped on a broken step, take pictures. If you slipped in a grocery store on milk from a leaking carton, take pictures. Try to get the name, address, and phone number of any witnesses. Call Mario, Gunde, Peters, Rhoden & Kelley as soon as possible.

Gathering evidence is important because you will have to prove how you were injured. As the injured person, seeking recovery, you have the burden of proof. Evidence can quickly disappear, water can be mopped up, flooring can be glued back down, or a witness can just walk away. Contact our firm as soon as possible and we can help preserve evidence. The injuries you sustained must be thoroughly documented. Pictures can be crucial. Months or even years later evidence gathered at the scene can make all the difference in your financial compensation.

You should immediately make it known that you are injured and if not apparent, the cause of your injury. Tell the owner or manager of the property that you are injured. Tell bystanders. If you tough it out and walk away you may end your chances of a money settlement.

If you are injured in a slip and fall case you may be able to get all of your medical bills paid, compensation for any permanent disability, payment for lost wages and emotional distress and others costs related to your injury including your attorney fees.  Attorneys are available 24/7, call today for your free initial consultation 321-631-0506.
