Serena Kurtz practices in the areas of bankruptcy, probate, employment discrimination, real estate, guardianship, estates, trusts, and employment law on the State and Federal levels.  She received her Associate in Arts degree in December 2004 from Polk State College, her Bachelor of Arts from the University of South Florida in May 2006, and her Juris Doctorate from Barry University School of Law in December 2010. She was admitted to the Florida Bar in April 2011.

Mrs. Kurtz is a member of the Middle and Southern District Courts in Florida, the US Bankruptcy Court for the Middle District of Florida, the US 11th Circuit Court of Appeals, and the Federal Circuit Court of Appeals.

Prior to coming to Mario Gunde Peters & Kelley, Mrs. Kurtz practiced in a firm that handled all
areas of law and allowed her to gain extensive knowledge in many areas of law. Mrs. Kurtz has taken multiple cases from the employee grievance process through the EEOC and MSPB. She has a passion for helping employees who are being mistreated or treated unfairly by their employers.

Mrs. Kurtz is married to her awesome husband Ed and is a mom to five great kids, one dog, and 48 reptiles. She enjoys spending her free time reading, quilting, and exploring with her family.
